WHY SHEAR FORCE & BENDING MOMENT ZERO AT FREE END .WHICH POINT HAS MAXIMUM SF & BENDING MOMENT

why Shear force & bending moment zero at free end in Portico slab /beam Practical understanding why Shear force & Bending moment zero at free end cantilever portico slab beam Dash link subscribe & bell icon to know more: , https://youtube.com/c/CivilStructuralTechGuruji #cstechguruji#subscribe#structuralanalysis civil Engineering #rccdesign, reinforcement, reinforced concrete portico design building construction I have explained following: A cantilever is  a beam supported only at one end, with load carried over the overhanging . This is in contrast to a simply-supported beam, which is supported at both ends. Cantilevers provide a clear space underneath the beam without any supporting columns or bracing. 1.what is SF at free end of the cantilever beam? 2.what is the shape of BMD with cantilever beam with load at whole span? 3.How do you draw SFD and BMD for cantilever beam? 4.How do you draw SFD  for cantilever beam?

EASIEST METHOD TO FIND SFD BMD FOR SIMPLY SUPPORTED BEAM WITH CENTRAL POINT LOAD

Image
EASIEST METHOD TO FIND SFD BMD FOR SIMPLY SUPPORTED BEAM WITH CENTRAL POINT LOAD A t the ends of a simply supported beam the bending moments are zero. At the wall of a cantilever beam, the bending moment equals the moment reaction. At the free end, the bending moment is zero. Beams – SFD and BMD   • Draw the SFD and BMD.  Determine reactions at supports. • Cut beam at C and consider member AC, V = + P 2 M = + Px 2 • Cut beam at E and consider member EB, V = - P 2 M = + P ( L - x ) 2   • for a beam subjected to concentrated loads, shear is constant between loading points and moment varies linearly
